Pokémon Mega – Become a Pokémon Trainer

There are so many Pokémon games, that you don’t even know where to start from. Well, we are here to help you. We’re here to recommend you one of the loveliest Pokémon ROM hack games. In case you don’t know, ROM Hacks are games created by independent developers who are modifying existence games to fit the needs of the fan community. Basically, is fanart in gaming. And this one focuses on the classic Nintendo Pokémon games. It brings a similar gaming experience, but it’s enhanced and updated for the modern players. More than that, it’s absolutely free and it can either be played online directly into your browser, or on Android and iOS. Let’s see what this game is about in the following Pokémon Mega review.

The Gameplay and Story in Pokémon Mega

At the beginning of the game, you will have to build your avatar. You can either be a boy or a girl and you’ll have to choose a starter Pokémon. Your primary choices will be the classical ones. I’m talking about the beloved Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Once you made your decision, the game can begin. If you’ve ever played the classic Pokémon games, this one will seem familiar, yet interesting. The gameplay will take you through turn-based battles in which you will fight on a six vs six formation basis, and through Pokémon hunting, in which you will roam the Safari searching for Pokémons in the wild, which will have to be trained. There are three Pokeballs that can be utilized in the game, each with different rates of progress and requirements, plus countless other items and skills to unlock. The gameplay offers both PvE and PvP battles in the classic arenas of the Pokémon universe. The multiplayer experience is enhanced in this game, thanks to the chat option, which has a public worldwide room, where other players are looking to form guilds. You will need to reach a certain level to unlock some features of the game. The mall, where you can buy items, unlocks at level two and the guild option at level 26. But leveling throughout the game, especially at the beginning, goes rather quick. There are lots of quests and rewards coming your way to help you with that.

The Design and Graphics

The design of the game maintains the classic Nintendo feeling, but the graphics are up to date, which both tickles your nostalgia and makes the game more interesting to play. I like the many new features of the game that were nicely adapted to the old school feeling. There are plenty of tutorials and guiding characters that will help you figure out the features of Pokémon Mega. As mentioned, you can play this in both browser and on your phone. If you want to play it on your phone, the link on our site will take you to the game, where you will find a QR code from which you can download the Android or iOS version. So, go there and start playing!
